How do I sign up for my crew shift?
To register for a Crew shift, please visit the Australian Spartan & DEKA, Tough Mudder or Highlander website. Select the specific event where you would like to volunteer.

How do I earn crew points?
Earn crew points at any Spartan, DEKA, Highlander & Tough Mudder events.
☑️ At events as part of the New Racer experience program/Information tent, Festival area activation and Obstacle training in field
☑️ Support, Spartan Crew & Crew Team Leader
☑️ Bump in and bump out Crew Member
☑️ Activations; Expos, Conferences, Work Out Tours, fates etc Promoting events
☑️ Support after three half day shifts will get Spartan Crew merch upgrade
☑️ Spartan Crew after 10 half day shifts will get Spartan Crew Leader merch upgrade
☑️ Once a volunteer reaches 30 points, you will be eligible to become a Spartan Ambassador

What are the guidelines?
⚠️ Points earned in 2025 are extended until 30 June 2026 then value will reduce to 50% off if unredeemed before the extension date, which gives volunteers to redeem it by 31 July 2026 before it fully epires.
If you don’t want to accumulate points, you’ve got options:
- Volunteer Full Day Shift: Get a free race code for the current events on sale
- Volunteer Half-day Shift: Receive a 50% discount for the current events on sale
- Race Today, Volunteer Tomorrow: Redeem your discount for the current event.
- Not Racing? Swap your code for a $50 or $100 merch voucher, usable anytime.

How many crew points do I earn per shift?
- Half-Day Shift - 50% off race voucher OR $50 off merch voucher OR 4 points
- Full Day Shift - 100% off race voucher OR $100 off merch voucher OR 8 points

How many crew points do I need to redeem?
Good news! You can redeem your crew points in any of our brands and vouchers are transferable to family or friends. Race code gives you access to any heats or categories!

How can I view my crew points?
Enter the email address you used when volunteering to receive your volunteer points. You will receive an automated email with your points and other related volunteer information.

How can I redeeem my crew points?
There are two ways to receive your rewards! Once you finish your volunteer shift, the Crew Manager or Team Leader at the Volunteer Tent will invite you to choose your reward. You can:
- Choose between a race voucher and merchandise voucher, which will be given to you right away!
- Opt to have it added to your crew points and redeeem later by filing out the form below
All requests are processed via this form and you will receive your free race code to your registered email within 48-72 business hours.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Please ensure you have sufficient points for redemption to qualify for a free race or pass. Otherwise, your request will be deemed ineligible and not processed.

What else do you need to know?
*All points and codes are transferrable
*The minimum age to be an unsupervised Spartan Crew member and earn points is strictly 14 years old. Any child under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult, and whilst we
encourage them to help out and get involved, the perks and rewards of the volunteer program do not apply.
*Spartan reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify, amend, or update these guidelines at any time without prior notice.
