The Mission of the Spartan Race Volunteer is to:
- Create an awesome experience for racers and spectators
- Create a safe experience for racers and spectators
- Educate racers and spectators
- Enforce obstacle rules for the racers as fairly as possible
- Assist the staff as its “eyes” on the course
Do provide verbal encouragement to racers
Do not provide physical assistance to racers or say mean things
Do check-in and out from your shift with the Volunteer Coordinator
Do not leave your zone without notifying our Volunteer Coordinator beforehand
Do take your bags to Bag Check - this is free for volunteers!
Do not leave your bags or half-eaten sandwich on the volunteer tent
Do enjoy your time as a volunteer. Our staff and racers greatly appreciate you!
Any harassment toward volunteers, verbal or otherwise, is not tolerated. If this occurs, or if you witness it happening, please report this to a member of staff as quickly as possible and provide as many identifying details as you can, such as their racer number, what they’re wearing, etc.
