Typically a Kids Race volunteer shift runs for 5 hours. Volunteers assist the Kids Race Staff with operational needs including but not limited to providing racer encouragement, distributing finisher medals and finish line sponsorship items, safely matching racers to their parents at the finish line, and course tear down. Course tear down will only occur on the last race day of the event and includes removing course tape, breaking down the finish tent and fences, stacking tables, removing trash and signage, and consolidating obstacles for load-out.
Any junior volunteers under 14 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Volunteers aged 14 and over will accrue credits for every hour to be used towards future race registrations.
